Government Grants

Reduce your investment by 50–90% with government support

Singapore and Hong Kong offer some of the most generous enterprise technology grants in the world. Most apply to AI proficiency assessment and training. We help you navigate the application process.

Singapore

The most accessible grant ecosystem for AI skills investment

Singapore's interconnected grant system can cover 50–90% of your investment through multiple complementary programmes.

50%

Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG)

Covers up to 50% of qualifying costs for pre-approved IT solutions, capped at S$30,000 per entity per financial year. Applied through the Business Grants Portal. From 2H 2026, PSG merges into the new EDGE grant supporting up to S$100,000/year per business.

SMEs — highest impact

Enterprise Development Grant (EDG)

50%

Supports custom digital transformation projects at up to 50% for SMEs and 30% for non-SMEs with no funding cap. Covers implementation as part of human capital development or digital transformation. Processing takes 8–12 weeks.

SMEs + large enterprises

SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)

S$10K

Eligible employers receive a one-off S$10,000 credit offsetting up to 90% of out-of-pocket expenses for SSG-funded courses or Business Grants Portal solutions. From 2H 2026, qualifying companies receive a fresh S$10,000 credit under the redesigned Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package.

All eligible employers

SSG Training Subsidies

70–90%

Once the platform achieves SSG accreditation: learners receive up to 70% course fee subsidy (up to 90% for mid-career workers 40+ and SME-sponsored employees). Employers can claim Absentee Payroll up to S$13/hour. Individuals can use SkillsFuture Credit (S$500+). Accreditation requires the platform to be structured as a training course with assessment component. SSG accreditation timeline is approximately 3–6 months.

Requires SSG accreditation

What this means for your organisation: a Singapore SME deploying Genplify at HK$2,400/employee/year (approximately S$415) could bring effective cost to approximately S$210/employee/year through PSG alone. Combined with SFEC and future EDGE grant support, the effective cost drops further.

Hong Kong

Incubation, training subsidies, and sectoral pathways

RTTP Training Subsidy

67%

The Reindustrialisation and Technology Training Programme covers up to two-thirds of employee training costs in advanced technologies including AI. Applies to structured training programmes with assessment components. Available to all enterprises operating in Hong Kong.

All enterprises — employee training

Continuing Education Fund (CEF)

HK$25K

HK$25,000 per eligible learner for registered courses with defined contactable hours, curriculum, and assessment criteria. Available when the platform is offered through a CEF-registered educational institution partner.

Individual learners — requires registered course

Note: the Technology Voucher Programme (TVP) ceased accepting new applications after 31 December 2024. Monitor the Innovation and Technology Commission for successor programmes. Genplify participates in the Cyberport ecosystem, which supports AI and technology ventures in Hong Kong. HKPC's 2025 AI Readiness in Workplace Survey found AI adoption approaching 90% among enterprises, with talent shortage identified as the biggest challenge.

Common Questions

About grants

How long does a grant application take?
Processing times vary by programme and application complexity. EDG takes approximately 8–12 weeks. We recommend starting the grant application process alongside your deployment planning, so funding is confirmed before rollout.
Can we combine multiple grants?
In many cases, yes. For example, a Singapore SME might use PSG to cover 50% of the platform cost and SFEC to offset additional out-of-pocket expenses. Specific combinations depend on your organisation's eligibility and the requirements of each programme.
Is Genplify PSG pre-approved?
PSG pre-approval is in progress. In the interim, the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) supports non-pre-approved solutions for digital transformation and human capital development — no PSG listing required.
What about grants outside Singapore and Hong Kong?
Australia offers ATO self-education tax deductions for employees improving current job skills with no cap on deduction amount. Japan's METI IT Skills Standards framework and India's FutureSkills Prime programme represent longer-term market opportunities. Contact us for region-specific guidance.
